Real talk: my run today didn’t even happen. I slept for 9 hours (with horrible nightmares)…possibly related to my unhealthy eating yesterday? My intake was decent today and I was well hydrated but for whatever reason I was dizzy and nauseous and just not feeling well while running. I got home, took a bath and wallowed in self pity before we had some friends over for an appetizer party. // Physically I feel fine but mentally & emotionally I’m really struggling with running. I’m reflecting on and processing a lot of things related to my hobbies & fitness journey right now…updates to come.
Protein smoothie for breakfast. Experimenting with different macro portions at different times of the day to see if it will impact energy levels! // Smoothie: 1C unsweetened vanilla almond milk, 1 frozen banana, 2 large handfuls spinach, 1 scoop @royalsportltd Chocolate Cupcake protein powder & 2 Tbs PB2. 😍🥛🍌🍫🥜
Workout today: 30 minutes of cardio & upper body + core session. // Food today: good & healthy aside from the skillet cookie (with ice cream) and chips (with guac) that I split with Hail Storm this afternoon 😱🤷🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️. It’s all about moderation right? Those treats will be the 20% of my “80/20” of this week. #teamnoregrets
Wow today has been awesome! I was fairly disappointed in my 2 mile hilly neighborhood run yesterday but woke up with a renewed spirit today! // Started the day with a 15 morning flow, took the dogs for a neighborhood walk, had some work appointments then hit the gym! Workout today was 30 minute elliptical followed by lower body and core.
Feels about breakfast: 😍🤗❤️. So excited about this oatmeal bowl: steel cut oats, PB2, 🍓, blackberries, raspberries, blues, 🥜 and shredded coconut. NOM.
Grocery Haul today. Look at all that produce 😍🥒🌶🍌🍊🍐🍎. 24 days until we go on vacation so I’m really tightening up & focusing on my nutrition and training!
Set an alarm on my day off to make sure that I was awake to watch Boston! There are many runners that I follow on social media who have inspired me to fight through self doubt, discouragement & comparisons and some of them are running in today’s legendary race!

Since I started my running journey in August 2015 I have learned SO many lessons about myself, my body, my faith and the completely new-to-me subculture that is the running community. I am so thankful for the people who have supported my obsession with this addicting hobby, for the inspiration & knowledge gained from the wisdom, consistency & dedication of seasoned runners and I’m especially thankful for those who have had faith in me when I struggled to have faith in myself. What a beautiful sport with a beautiful community and absolutely beautiful people.

Feeing so incredibly blessed on this beautiful Easter Sunday. I am thankful for a wonderful husband, a supportive family, a loving church family, awesome youth students, a renewed season of physical & spiritual growth and most importantly, for a Savior who so selflessly sacrificed Himself for me.
Enjoyed a self care pedicure with my mom today after my church’s community Easter egg hunt! I tried to pick a color that would look good on my yoga mat 💁🏼💅🏻🤦🏼♀️ // Nutrition has been “meh” this week but I’ve gotten in several workouts/runs so I’m feeling good about that! Checked to see if we get the channel that is broadcasting Boston and we do so now I have plans for Monday 😍 and a great means of motivation for the rest of April 🤗. Now gearing up for 3 services and Easter dinner tomorrow!
Squeezed in a 3 mile run tonight after a day spent with youth girls! It wasn’t a perfect run: @stravarun was having issues on my watch, had slight stomach ache, was super sore from my run/lower body earlier this week, had a weird pain in my foot and a lot of calf tightness…HOWEVER, it was 3 miles logged towards my training and I have almost no knee pain so I consider it a success!! // Food pictured: @panerabread lunch (strawberry poppyseed chicken salad, veggie & pesto soup, bread & a green smoothie), my post run protein smoothie and dinner! Random food log for the day: I also had a clementine, the turkey bacon egg white breakfast sandwich & a grande almond milk cinnamon macchiato (½ sweetner) from @starbucks for breakfast and some coconut/seed bites as a snack. Plus @nuunhydration lemon lime during my run. It’s been a good 🐪 day.
